Short walk near Pian di Novello. From Pistoia we proceed in the direction of Abetone until we reach the detour to the left for the botanical garden, just before Fontana Vaccaia. We proceed past the next junction for the botanical garden, always keeping to the left. A few hundred meters later we leave the car near the entrance of the path that descends to the right at the sega bridge. We continue on a path that is still partly paved marked number 2 in white and green. We proceed among macerated trees in an uphill fir forest. After about a kilometer, at the junction with the CAI path, keep to the left. The fir forest becomes mixed, until it becomes beech forest and the path becomes gentler. At the junction turn right with white green signs 15 and in less than a kilometer we reach the Doccione stream that forms the falls. In this period the flow rate is minimal but it is always worth it. Pay attention to the overhang, for those who suffer from vertigo. The height is about twenty meters, like a six-story building. For experts, I recommend going down to the foot of the waterfall. The path is not marked but with a minimum of eye we can follow the track. The entrance is located about ten meters on the left of the waterfall, and allows you to rejoin the CAI one that comes from the valley. Pay attention to some exposed passages and the slope. It is not recommended to do this if the bottom is damp or wet. At this point we retrace our steps until we reach the crossroads from which we came. This time we keep to the right, white green 2 indications. An easy path leads us to the Beatrice slope above Pian di Novello. We come across two very interesting things: an engraving on a flat rock on the path bearing the date 1946, and then a wall of considerable size. When we arrive at the former track, we descend to the asphalt road, keep to the left and return to the starting point.

All that remains for me to do is to wish you a good walk and I recommend, respect nature, because in this way you respect yourself.
