The Data Protection Officer (DPO) is a figure provided for by Article 37 of EU Regulation no. 2016/679 and is the person designated to carry out support and control, advisory, training and information functions relating to the application of the regulation itself.

It cooperates with the Data Protection Authority and is the point of contact, also with respect to data subjects, for issues related to the processing of personal data (Articles 38 and 39 of the Regulation).

This Information on the processing of Data, provided for by the new European Data Protection Regulation R.UE 679/2016, is addressed to users of the portal and web services of the Municipality of Abetone Cutigliano (hereinafter referred to as the “Entity”) accessible electronically.
This information is limited to browsing the aforementioned sites and does not apply to sites outside the Entity even if consulted from links on the portal and on the thematic sites.
This information describes the methods of management of the web portal and the thematic sessions of the municipality in relation to the processing of the personal data of users who consult it, who choose to register and/or who use online services.

Purpose of the Processing

The data of which the Data Controller will become aware will be used exclusively to provide the services requested by the user and for the performance of institutional functions by virtue of the tasks assigned to it by law and regulations.

Data Processing

Consultation of the portal: navigation data
The computer systems and application functions of the portal acquire some data whose transmission is implicit in the use of communication protocols.
This information is used to obtain statistical information on the use of the portal; however, by their nature, they could allow the identification of data subjects through their IP address. This data is removed from systems after statistics are processed.

Online services
During registration on the portal, some personal data are requested that are used to identify the registered person. When subscribing to online services, additional data, including sensitive data, may be requested, depending on the specific service chosen. The processing purposes are different depending on the service and described in detail on the relevant subscription pages.
The data acquired will be processed for the performance of the institutional activities of the entity, within the limits established by law and regulations, in compliance with the general principles of transparency, fairness and confidentiality.

Sending emails to addresses indicated in the portal
The optional, explicit and voluntary sending of e-mails to the addresses indicated on the site involves the subsequent acquisition of the sender’s address, necessary to respond to requests, as well as any other personal data included in the message.

The data required for registration are necessary to allow access to the services and if they are not provided, this makes it impossible for the Entity to proceed with the provision of the same.
The person who registers gives consent to the processing of data, aware that in the absence of such consent, registration and subscription to services cannot take place.

Processing methods

Personal data are processed with software applications for the time strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which they were collected.
Specific security measures are observed to prevent the loss of data, illicit or incorrect use and unauthorized access. In addition to the processing of data in digital format, the entity will be able to manage the information acquired in paper format following the printing of the documents.

Use of cookies

Cookies are text files that are saved on the computers of users who access the site to allow safe and efficient exploration of the site and monitor its use.
The municipality’s website uses two types of technical cookies: session cookies for authentication (online services and reserved areas) and monitoring cookies. Profiling cookies are not used.

Communication and dissemination of data

The personal data of the data subjects may be processed by the staff of the authorized entity and may be communicated for the purposes described above to external collaborators, or public and private companies that carry out activities and services on behalf of the entity. the communication is necessary for the correct fulfilment of the institutional purposes of the Municipality.
Personal data are not subject to dissemination by this body and are not subject to transfer to another state.

Rights of the Data Subject

The European Regulation grants the data subject the exercise of specific rights, including the right to obtain from the data controller confirmation of the existence or otherwise of their personal data and their availability in intelligible form.
The data subject has the right to know the origin of the data, the purpose and methods of processing, the logic applied to the processing, the identification details of the data controller and the subjects to whom the data may be communicated.
The data subject also has the right to:

  • obtain the updating, correction and integration of data, the cancellation if not in contrast with the regulations, the transformation into anonymous form or the blocking of data processed in violation of the law.
  • to be informed in the event that the Data Controller decides to change the data processing methods and any transfer
  • to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority identified as the Privacy Guarantor.

Subjects Involved in the processing

The body has also identified the Data Protection Officer (DPO) in the person of the e-mail address to which the citizen can contact to exercise his rights in terms of data processing.

Data Controller
