Get ready to live one of the most fascinating experiences of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines with an unmissable excursion that will lead us to the famous Black Lake! This splendid lake of glacial origin, set in a basin shaped by an ancient glacier, is a destination that enchants with its breathtaking beauty and the friendly alpine newts that populate its crystal clear waters.

After reaching the lake, we will stop for a well-deserved lunch break, immersed in a natural scenery of rare beauty.
You will have the opportunity to relax and admire the magnificent surrounding landscape, letting yourself be enveloped by the peace and majesty of nature.

The itinerary starts from the parking lot located in front of the Botanical Forest Garden of Abetone, from where we will take path 104.
This route will take us through the picturesque shepherd’s house to the Black Lake Hut.
From here, we will continue along paths 106 and 108, passing under the suggestive Foce di Campolino, and then descend and complete our loop returning to the starting point.
