Located just 200 meters from the square of Abetone, taking the road of the Uccelliera and turning right at the first turn, you will reach the beginning of the cross-country track, which extends along the traced path of the Maiori path. The track, which lends itself well to both the practice of classic technique and skating, winds for about 8 kilometers, completely surrounded by wooded vegetation and finally opens into a valley at the foot of Mount Libro Aperto. Halfway along the route, you will find a spring where you can quench your thirst and rest. This same route, along with other routes, is also suitable for snowshoeing. Always starting from the beginning of the track, follow the signs for the “snowshoe trail” which, crossing the woods above the cross-country track, will guide you to discover different tracks suitable for every need. On site, you can rent cross-country skiing equipment and snowshoes.
