Pro Loco Cutigliano

The Pro Loco of Cutigliano has been involved in the enhancement and promotion of the small village for many years. The town is a real medieval pearl of the Pistoia mountains with a very long history behind it. In every street it is possible to find references to every century such as the Loggia dei Capitani, a place where justice was administered, or the Palazzo dei Capitani, now the seat of the Municipality, on whose façade each captain has left his own coat of arms.

The history of the town is greatly enhanced by the Pro Loco, as with the Medieval Festival that is organized every year in July with the parade, the stands and the sound of the Tamburini di Cutigliano, or with the numerous exhibitions that have been set up in the exhibition hall of the Palazzo dei Capitani.

Not only history but also sport with the Race of the Captains, music with the many evenings in the main square enlivened by the various groups of the area, and fashion with the parade under the stars in August. The proximity to the cable car that takes you to the Doganaccia ski resort also makes the beautiful village convenient. During the winter there are many events at Christmas time with Santa Claus, the Befana and the markets. In summer there are many routes that can be discovered on foot or by bike and the fresh mountain air will make you spend wonderful days. Everything will be enlivened by numerous events such as the Midsummer Festival, a huge five-day festival with many stands, crafts, gastronomy and musical evenings!
