With its 2165 meters, Mount Cimone is the highest mountain in the northern Apennines. From its summit on clear days it is possible to admire from north to south over 40% of the entire Italian peninsula, from the Alps to the Tuscan archipelago. It is located in the regional park of the upper Modena Apennines where it is possible to find an infinite variety of flora and fauna, from marmots of the prairies at high altitude to horses in the wild. They are places rich in ancient history that you can touch by visiting the famous Celtic huts dating back to the fourth century BC. Itinerary description: We will start from the parking lot of the hamlet of Doccia del Cimone along the path that climbs up to Pian Cavallaro, from here we will reach Mount Cimone and after a short stop we descend to the starting point along the paths that cross the old ski slopes. The guide reserves the right to modify the itinerary, in the event that it is assessed that there are not ideal conditions for its realization and the safety of the participants.
